I got CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro SL 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) also have a Ryzen 2700 so MAX frequency for RAM is 2933 MHz. I tried 3200 MHz enabling XMP and manually OC, but having stability problems anyways, so decided to put them at 2933MHz. Trouble comes when I try to downgrade to recommended timings manually in BIOS (F37), not being able to change CL from 16 to 15, changes make effect in BIOS but when I check into Windows using HWinfo64 I find out that all timings successfully changed except CL. Any idea about whats wrong?

Question:why I have edited ram timing but it is not working? I have enabled xmp profile 1 and options to advance manual. after saving I don't see ram timing fixed in cpu-z. why it doesn't change ram timing and what did I miss?5/21/2022 9:32 AM
Answer:We would suggest try disabling XMP to test, as XMP itself is loading a preset of timing and overclocking settings.
Therefore manual adjusted timing could be overwritten.
