Hello,

Ive recently built a new computer, upon setting it up I was able to enter bios ONCE at initial start up. I installed windows and updated drivers and everything was fine and working.

After getting things downloaded, I tried to enter bios for the second time after initial start up.. does not work. Splash screen will show and then goes right to a black monitor.

However pressing f11 it will allow me to enter boot menu. pressing del trying to enter bios, black screen.

Mother board model is msi gaming plus b450m matx

Things ive tried :
1 using another monitor
2 changing display outputs
3 pressing clear cmos button on back of io panel
4 poped out cmos battery
5 fresh install of widnows with no drivers

Im typing this from the system now with no driver updates on a fresh win10 install. Ive tried to enter bios on a fresh install to avoid driver complications... no luck, very frustrating.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks so much for the reply.

Upon taking those steps there is no select uefi, the box is not being shown for me for some reason?

Edit: i see my system information is : bios mode : legacy ?
Would that stop me from being able to access bios?

Should I try converting from legacy to uefi ? What if I'm still unable to get into bios during that process?

edit : getting nvme out of legacy mode and clearing cmos fixed issue
