I am trying to get into my BIOS with the Del key, because it clearly say press Del to enter BIOS but nothing happens. Any other way to get in or a fix?
thanks in advance!
Depending on your motherboard you may have a quickboot enabled. This typically boots too fast for the bios to recognize a del key being pressed. If this is the case, typically you have to reset your bios to disable quickboot and then go back in and adjust things. Do you know your motherboard model?
Press delete multiple time. If it's a USB keyboard try a different usb port
and the odd flip side, depending on the motherboard pressing the del key too many times quickly can make it bypass going in to bios. Dells are especially prone to this with their bios key. Try it a few different ways, and swapping out the USB port like t53186 said.
And yes, FAST BOOT can be the culprit as well, on mine you have to start with power off, hold the power button in until 3 beeps, system shuts down and restarts in normal boot and lets me enter bios.

Well that seems completely intuitive... tho at least they don't make you pull a jumper to do it.
thanks for the help I actually got it to work though by pressing the Del key right when the keyboard light up rather than waiting for the screen to show up. I did have quick boot enabled though
