Can't find a single RAM module for sale

Hi guys,

I built my computer a couple of months ago, with the following:
i7 7700k
gtx 1060 gb
vengeance 8gb single module 3200mhz
asus strix z270h
evga 550w g2

I think the single RAM stick is giving me performance drops in CSGO. Some times I see myself dropping to 80 fps. XMP is ON in bios. The thing is I bought mobo, cpu and RAM all together as a bundle, and now I can't find another Corsair Vengeance DDR4 8gb 3200mhz single module for sale.

What should I do? Do you think is the RAM giving me these performance drops? If so what is there any alternative than buying the same RAM module?

Thanks

Solution
Unless you are multitasking while gaming, I doubt that the ram is a big issue.
True, single channel operation will make your cpu a bit less effective.

Buy a 2 x 8gb kit of 3200 speed ddr4 ram that closely matches your current 8gb in voltage and cas specs.

Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards, particularly AMD can be very sensitive to this.
This is more difficult when 4 sticks are involved.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.

Simply adding another 8gb is not 100% guaranteed to work.
If it...

If it does not, what is your plan B???

By buying a proper 2 x 8gb kit, you know it will work.
Try adding your old stick.
If it works, you have 24gb.
If it does not, keep the 8gb stick as a spare or sell it.
With 3 sticks, you may get things to work by adding a bit of voltage to the ram in the bios.

Oh god really? Lol just msg the company who sold me this bundle to check if they would sell me a separate stick... Better not take the risk I guess...

Thank you! But do you think is definitely RAM causing this fps drops? Temps are running 70c when running games, so couldn't be temps. This set up should run csgo around 300+fps all the time and this shutterings to around 100fps are really annoying.

The 144hz asus mate... Oh god I feel stupid for buying that shit bundle

He definitely doesn't need 24 GB for gaming. Even 8GB is plenty for nearly all current games. Plus, RAM is expensive at the moment, and the price has nearly doubled from what it was last year, so it's probably better to not buy more than you need right now.

And of course, CS:GO has been out for over five years, and absolutely doesn't need more than 8GB of RAM. It will likely run fine enough on a system with 2GB, which is what the game's official system requirements call for. As such, it's highly unlikely that a lack of RAM is the source of any performance issues. The lack of dual-channel from only running one stick isn't likely to effect performance by more than a few percent either.

What resolution are you running the game at? And have you checked temperatures to make sure something isn't overheating and throttling performance?

Running at 1920*1080 or 1024*dontremember is the same. On deathmatch with 20players on server it drops to around 100fps some times and it shouldn't.. Temps never go beyond 70c even when overclocking cpu (I tried to see if it improves performance but it doesn't)
