Hi, I have Windows 10 build 19043.1110 and i want to turn off auto HDR but its not showing in my settings. Can someone help please, i have looked everywhere ?

Solution
says version 21H1 (os build 19043.1151)
Yeah, I worked that out when I ram winver

I( wonder when they going to implement it though. That is insiders - https://www.tenforums.com/windows-1...-preview-dev-build-21337-1010-march-19-a.html and many of its features are now in win 11.

all of its features look like win 11.

this doesn't exist yet - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials...-compact-mode-file-explorer-windows-10-a.html

Win 11 is Build 22000 so at least that number fits in between 10 and 11. So it could be added in the next version update in November. I can't tell the future though.

Referencing this link provided by Lutfij, I notice it says:

"Note: To use the steps in the following procedure, your PC must be running Windows 10 (Version 2004)"

You said you are running an earlier version (Windows 10 v1904) so that may be why you can't find the setting.
is there any way of turning off auto HDR in the version i have as its so annoying when i play a game and it auto uses HDR even though its turned off ?

Probably not as the HDR setting you're referring to was most likely only added with the Windows 10 v2004 Feature Update, so on your older version you could be looking for a setting that does not exist. In any case, you should keep Windows10 up-to-date via automatic updates. Can't understand why you're still on v1904 which is 2 years out of date unless you've somehow disabled auto-updates.

Yes, the feature you are after isn't in 10 yet, it may be introduced in the next version of Win 10 once WIn 11 is out.
Always a chance, given article based on a dev build, it won't go into 10 at all. It might be a win 11 only feature. I don't actually know for sure.

19043 is current release build
21337 is a dev build, there is likely a newer one since then
22000 is win 11 current build (Beta)

Don't need to try to turn it off as it doesn't exist.
