Hey,

I added a HDD to my build. I connected it to the power and motherboard, but I can't find it in disk management.

I have a Z97 Pro4 Motherboard and a WD10EZEX HD.

HELP PLEASE

Solution
You can move the individual system folders within your user profile, Like Desktop. Documents, My Pictures, etc
In your Profile folder, c:\windows\Users\<username>\... you will see you current system folders. Right-Click on them an goto to the Location tab and move it to another folder.

It won't prevent apps from explicitly going to c"\windows\users\...\documents", but most apps that acknowledge using those links should be fine.

If you dont want to move the system folders, you can just always create folders on the HDD and use it as storage, like if you download games, movies, etc. There is absolutely no reason to force picture, video to the pre-created Pictures or Videos system folder.

Does it show up in BIOS?
Also which SATA port?, some boards have Intel and non-Intel SATA controllers and you will need the drivers for those controllers
Check Device Manager to see if all devices are working.

Thanks, I restarted and opened bios. Found it in there and it's now showing up on Disk Management. How do I set up the new HDD so that the original SDD is only for boot and the HDD handles everything else (Downloads, Music, Documents, Pics, etc.)?
