I've got an old Alienware M11x I dusted off just because I think it's a cute little thing.

I wanted to reinstall the graphics drivers so I uninstalled them. Problem is, none of the drivers I download online, from Dell or nVidia, work!

Can anyone help me locate some for an R2 model with a nVidia GeForce GT335M 64 bit that will actually install.

I'm thinking maybe because I upgraded it to Windows 10 form Windows 7 back when it was a free upgrade none of the drivers are supported because they only go up to Windows 8, but that's just a guess.

Thanks for your replies.

Hi @Vanders,

Read this. These don't work? States that they are for Win10 & your GT335M. How about these?

For some reason the download button on the first link is greyed out on my laptop but not m desktop so I can't download it.

I'm not sure about the second link, it has files but they don't appear to be drivers. And it seems I need to pay for DriverFinder to install things.

Thanks for your reply!

Almost certainly a driver/OS compatibility issue.

Only Windows 7 (64-bit) is supported on the R2 model according to the drivers page:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/product-support/product/alienware-m11x-r2/drivers

And here:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/drivers/supportedos/alienware-m11x-r2

Dell recommends you revert to the original Windows version that was pre-installed:
https://www.dell.com/support/articl...e-unavailable-on-dell-support-website?lang=en

It's a bit confusing as there appears to be drivers available for Windows 10. But I still like Windows 7 so I won't be fussed having to revert it.

Not sure how though. I don't have discs or anything to install Windows 7.

See if you can download from this page. https://www.nvidia.co.uk/download/driverResults.aspx/88355/en-uk otherwise, download on your desk top and move to your laptop.
That link and driver worked!

The thing is, I downloaded and tried installing plenty different drivers. From that link too! There were only two Windows 10 drivers when I was searching myself and I tried both. Maybe I just missed one.

Either way, thank you! And thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
