can't fix a bad sector

my pc slows down everytime i try to use the chkdsk command on the C drive for the hdd

It depends why the sector is bad. If it's a data problem, that can be repaired. If it's an actual physical problem, it cannot be repaired.

If it's data, chkdsk or something like EaseUS's Partition Master will usually take care of it. If it's simply a physical error, neither of these methods will fix the problem. If your slowdown is significant, I'd suspect physical damage as more likely.

when i try to use the chkdsk command in the cmd on drive C nothing happens when i try to launch EaseUS still nothing happens when the hdd is connected when i remove it the program launches every time i try to right click on the C drive the pc freezes so i guess it's physical?
