Can't get any stable (and good) Overclock

I have been sitting in hours now with my first CPU overclock and it starting to frustrate me. First of all, i only want to achieve some basic OC, nothing major, only OC as far as the stock voltages allows me. Of some reason, i cant adjust the multiplier so i have only been playing around with the CPU base frequency and increased it until i achieved Adjusted CPU frequency at appox 3466 Mhz. I started Crysis 3 and it crasched. I lowered to 3400 Mhz, started Crysis 3 and it crasched again. I have read everywhere that its easy to achieve 3600-4000 Mhz with and i7-860 without even touching the voltage. Why am i not able to achieve stable OC with just 3400 Mhz? At stock clock i have very good temperatures, wont go above 50 degrees in load.

I read the guide here and it said that for proper OC one needs to -

Execute Disable Bit
Intel Virtualization Tech"

I couldnt find "Power technology" and "internal PLL overvoltage", but i did the rest.

What am i doing wrong?

Are you on a stock cooler?
I just looked at your picture and noticed your adjusting the Base frequency on the cpu, the problem with this is that this frequency effects more than just the motherboard. It effects other things on the motherboard such as RAM. Ideally you want to adjust the multiplier when overclocking a cpu.
Base frequency(FSB) * cpu multiplier = cpu clock
Take for example newer cpu's such as the 2600k or 3770k, they both have unlocked multipliers and the reason why they are hard to overclock without that is because you'd have to adjust the FSB which would also mess with the onboard video on these cpu's and they don't cope well with changes to the FSB, as a result it is extremely difficult to achieve much of an overclock on a cpu like this with onboard video.
If your ram doesn't like the change in frequency then it could be causing problems with the overclock, try adjusting your cpu ratio, and increasing voltage to add stability should the overclock be unstable.

For example I have a core 2 quad q9300 which has a locked multiplier but by because my cpu doesn't have something like a graphics chip on it I'm able to move the FSB much more easily. I've fiddled with my RAM though and by keeping it in acceptable frquencies I'm able to shoot the FSB on my motherboard from 333mhz up to like 420mhz+.

Ok i see... but now the problem is that i cant change anything the ratio. I dont know if it's glitched or something, i have tried loading fail-safe bios settings, wont work. I also have updated to latest bios.

If you can fiddle with the multiplier on your RAM you may be able to get the FSB up, Also look into overclocking on the motherboard chipset your running, and see if you can find anything.
For example I have a P43 motherboard that hits a wall on the FSB at around 415-420mhz. People have found a few ways though to push things a bit further though on that chipset, and by doing some weird things i can get my fsb up to like 434 or so.

Sorry that i left just like that, my antivirus updated and screwed my internet connection :/ However, i find out that i can change the mulitplier (ratio) but maximum to 22. At stock it is 21...
