So I unscrew all the screws, it comes out up to a certain point, where it is blocked by something. I can't find out what it is. All the screws to unscrew the case don't have heads, so I can't unscrew them. Any ideas of how to get it out?

Model is ASUS Desktop pc CM6830 series

The case here is the same.

And I think this one is identical to mine:

Wasted 800 bucks on this before I knew about building your own pc. only had a nvidia gt 530.

Maybe the pics just got reversed from the description. The one that says the drive is in place vs the drive 'out' - looks like the drive is being pushed backwards into the case? You are pulling it out through the front of the case right? Sorry, don't mean to ask a dumb question like that but hate to assume and based on the description/pics match up, almost looks like you're pushing the drive into the case (which would explain why it's stuck).
RTM - that is, read the manual. Should be a section on replacing the drive. You don't specify whether it is the Hard Disc Drive or the Optical Drive (DVD disc drive) but the manual should have direction for getting it out.
Lost the manual? Go online to ASUS and you should be able to download a copy.
BTW, the "screws" that hold the case together are not screws; they are rivets and not intended for removal. Only way to get them out is to drill them out and you really don't want to do that.

Is the right side panel removable? Make sure all screws are removed from both sides (usually 4 screws, 2 either side or 2 screws one side and a retention mechanism on the other). Make sure all the cables are detached from the back, should be a power cable, data cable (either ide or sata) and possibly a small audio cable. Try wiggling it side to side as you pull it out, sometimes instead of screws on the right side it's just a pressure fit (some can be tight). It could also be hanging up on the sticker on top of the drive if it's a really tight fit, but it should wiggle/work its' way loose. It looks like a proprietary case so there may be something else holding it in but it wouldn't be common.

The right panel can come off, but that doesn't help because there is a big piece of steel/aluminium behind it, making the side panel pointless.

I know all the screws are undone because it comes out a bit, until a hole for the screw on the drive lines up with the last hole on the case going towards the back.
back of case = |||||
holes = o
> = front of case
x = hole i'm taliing about
||||| x o o o o >

I tried to pull it out with force already, and if I pull any harder I might break it. And I wiggled it more than a prostitute could wiggle a sausage.

Optical disc drive, and the manual only tells me things that I don't need to know. (How to connect to monitor) things like that.

Well it was years ago and seeing all the bits on the mb made me think only an expert could.

Hard to say without seeing it. I'd try pulling a bit harder, maybe facing the side of the case with the left panel off. One hand pushing from the rear of the drive, the other pulling from the front. Possibly tilting up/down in case the body of the drive is dragging or hung up on something. Just sounds like it's in there tight. I've had a few drives like that where the fit was so tight it raked off half the label applied to the top of the drive. Maybe try taking a flashlight and looking closely all around the drive where it fits against the case, around the front opening as best you can etc and see if you can spot anything abnormal that's physically preventing the drive from sliding out further.

Yea I tried all that. I'm sure something is blocking it, cause when it stops its a solid stop, not a squishy stop like you fell when you push a pen cap into place, it's more like pushing the pen on a desk, it stops firmly when it touches the desk.

This is the drive in:

and out as much as it goes:

sigh I might have to just bend the case to get in there, I'm not going to need a disc drive in that case anyways for what I'm using it for.

Yea, I'm doing it the wrong way. -_-

All I had to do was take off the front panel of the case and it slid out smooth. Now I just need to find the cord for it ..
I think it was stuck when I tried the other way too, I'll have to check.

edit: thought I already edited this but I guess not, but I got it out, I had to take the front panel off then it slid out easily.
