Greetings guys,

New build.

I cant get into bios and have no idea why.

Spec:
Motherboard: B365M-HDV
Ram: XPG Z1 DDR4 3000MHz (PC4 24000) 16GB (2x8GB) Memory Modules Red (AX4U300038G16-DRZ)
GPU: Aorus RX 580
PSU: Corsair VS Series VS500 80 PLUS Certified Non-Modular ATX Power Supply
Storage: 128 GB NVME SSD
CPU: I3-9100F

So the problem is, screen will load but I cant get into bios.

Here's what I've done:

Reset CMOS
Checked if CPU actually works
Checked Ram
Tried using a PS/2 keyboard
Tried all of the USB ports on motherboard

One thing I realized is that the monitor and keyboard will only light up if I have it plugged in before I fire up the computer

Once its powered on, it's not going to light up no matter where I plugged in.

Solution
It does not appear to have any kind of bios flashback feature, so no. You will need an 8th gen chip, to update the bios, if that is indeed the problem. Might be able to get a shop to do it. Personally, if it is possible, I would return it and get a 10100f, and a decent B560 board, for a bit of upgrade room. Something like this. The 10100f is a 4c/8t cpu vs the 4c/4t of a 9100f

CPU: Intel Core i3-10100F 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor ($92.50 @ B&H)
Motherboard: ASRock B560M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1200 Motherboard ($112.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $205.49

Might as well do that.
