Cant get my mic to work

I have uninstalled and reinstalled even updated my drivers for my onboard sound card I have a k8m800 biostar motherboard and for some reason after I reformated last for this new board my onboard card works fine but cant get the mic to work..tried my mic in another comp so I know it works..

Have you checked it's not muted?
