Hi there,
I just recently moved to University halls and they only provide me with one ethernet port so all connected devices run through that. However I have a problem where my PS4 can't connect to the internet I have setup a 5-port desktop switch to connect all together and my PC is running perfectly however my PS4 cannot obtain and IP Address or connect properly to the network and was wondering if there is a solution to this?

My ISP: Velocity1

BTW I can not have access to the router as its a flat network system where all the flats are connected to one block router.

Also I am not sure if it is the PS4 or the network itself as it cannot connect to the wifi as well.

Any solutions would be highly appreicated

You sure? I had to have a LAN network to connect my xbox one to BT WiFi with FON and both my laptop and xbox where pulling and pushing data on the same IP, laptop didn't even say a conflict was found and everything was fine for ages until the IP address expired because BT WiFi only allows you two hours on their network before you have to renew your IP anyway.

Just a thought :)

If you copy the IP it won't work while your PC is on (only one machine per IP on the network at once).
