ryzen 5 3600x, windows 10 64 bit, m450b tomahawk max,

Speakers give off nothing, my headphones just let out a low crackling interferance noise.
audio was working perfectly fine before one of my harddrives decided to kill itself, after 3 days of trying to make the thing just boot without dying it now has no audio. i guess that harddrive was essential, except it had nothing on it and was useless.

i tried reinstalling drivers, i tried using the windows auto sound diagnose tool, its useless.

If you're able to boot into your OS GUI without issues, you can try and see what OS version you're on at the time of writing. Right click Start>System, the version should be stated at the bottom of the new pop up page. As for your build, my primary concern would be your drive considering how you've stated that it'd croaked, I think you're better off investing in a cheap SSD and reinstalling your OS after fabricating your bootable USB installer using Windows Media Creation Tools.

As for your drivers for the audio, make sure you're on the latest BIOS version for your motherboard, then making sure your OS is up to date, then manually installing your drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

I have an M2 drive and a normal SSD,
I had two HDD's but they started dying or so I thought, so I went out and bought a new HDD. a lot of bs occurred because originally I thought I was only replacing one drive. But anyway, I got most of it transfered onto the new drive. Windows boot manager was installed on one of the hdds for some reason but i got it swapped over.

My OS is up to date, and i just redownloaded my audio drivers from MSI's website, nothing changed.

Im also having memory issues or maybe CPU, i have a gtx 2070 and im getting like 100 fps in overwatch and its dropping to like 50 sometimes, before all of this it would stay at 144+, my CPU utilization seems to be down, GPU usage is down and all my userbenchmark scores are just f**ked. I honestly have no idea whats going on with my computer and im about to throw it at a repair shop, in all my years of building and maintaining this piece of crap its never gone so far off the deep end, it struggles on minecraft like my dell 2007 workstation used to.

Heres 3 benchmarks for reference, If anyone has any clue whats going on please help.

Also to add onto this, ive been trying to run a chkdsk C: /f but it begins the test and then just slaps me onto the login screen, havent been able to find a way around it. If my SSD is dying too ima be sad

Long post sorry, I should add that there is audio, it is a constant static white noise that periodically gets louder for a bit and then goes back, but never fully leaves. If I uninstall the audio drivers it stops playing the noise

I actually got the chkdsk to work, I dont think its the storage thats causing the issue. maybe its the RAM but i havent found anything wrong with it physically besides it underperforming in userbench
