Question Can't get V-Moda Boom Pro to work

Specs:
Windows 10
Dell xps 8100
Real Tek 6.0.1.7541 (seems to be latest for me)

Using the supplied splitter, plugged into respective headphone/mic jack on i/o panel. Also tried directly into motherboard with no difference.

Mic is plugged into some older Beats Solos.

Mic doesn't pick up any sound from me speaking, but seems to pick up sound from PC. (played youtube vids, with mic tester open)

Seems to be an issue with the PC not recognizing this as a headset, but I can't find any settings for this in my version of Real Tek.

Any ideas?

Did you find solution for this by any chance?
I have a same issue as when I try to record through V-Moda Boom connected to my Sony's, its picking up all the sound coming from the computer (Youtube, music, w/e that is playing on the computer), instead of my voice.
