Okay I'm having a weird problem atm.. I was on windows 8.1 to start off with and wanted to install windows 10. i started the installer and it rebooted my pc... now this is where the weird part happens.. my pc gets stuck on "Loading Operating System".. I tried to reinstall windows 8.1 with the install disk but at the end of the install it rebooted and the "Loading Operating System" comes up again... tried with windows 7 disk and same problem... What is going on?

UPDATE: I have tried to format the drive many times and tried to install many times and still the same error... I even changed out the hdd i was trying to install the OS on and again the same error...

Solution
Sounds like the bootloader got corrupted or the motherboard's firmware is busted. You should try to enable the boot menu and manually pick the installer source (dvd or USB). You can also try resetting the motherboard by removing all power sources (including clock batteries), or even just installing a newer bios/uefi.

I figured it out at last :) By a stroke of luck before i fell asleep i saw the disk select screen from the OS installer in my mind and realized that my second hdd said primary disk. So i checked out the bios to see what the boot order was and turns out that a previous installation had mixed up what was disk 0 and disk 1 so that my second hdd without the Os got booted first. I changed it back and voila! It worked! :)
