want to try an XFX RX 460 grafics card on a E8400 + Win10 32-bit configuration
I just can't seem to run the installation CD. So I run directly setup from the map win10-32 on the CD.
What ever I do, the configuration loads the default Windows driver
The AMD Autodetect finds: A-series APU
In the Bios I allready selected "Auto" (=use add-in card)
I also disabled "automaticly download manufacturers' apps and ..."
Does someone have a good idea??

Display is connected to RX 460 card
Also checked in Bios if PCI-slot was disabled
Also powercord is connected to the card

I thought APU version is meant for on-board GPU's!?
Should I try?

In CPU-Z it shows:

Display adapter 0
Board Manufacturer XFX Pine Group Inc.
Memory size 0 MB
PCI device bus 1 (0x1), device 0 (0x0), function 0 (0x0)
Vendor ID 0x1002 (0x1682)
Model ID 0x67EF (0x9460)
Performance Level 0

That isn't the motherboard info. Look at the Mainboard tab.

This might be the problem:
Graphic Interface PCI-Express
PCI-E Link Width x8
PCI-E Max Link Width x8

Would like it to work
Probably have to dig deeper into my pocket, to create a suitable PC for my son 🙂

The Dell has an older PCIe standard x16 slot (Intel Q45 Express chipset with Version 1.1 PCIe slot). The GPU uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot. Physically, the two are compatible. Trying to determine if the RX460 is going to work at all given the older tech of the Dell.

Do you know if the Dell is running the latest BIOS for its motherboard?

Isn't it the other way around ?
the Dell has a x8 slot, and the GPU uses a x16 (PCIe 3.0)

see 1st post: In the Bios I allready selected "Auto" (=use add-in card)
