So for context, I'm just trying to play modded minecraft. It wouldn't let me run the launchers I need to use because I had 32bit Java on a 64bit system, so I used java's uninstall tool to get rid of it and then install the right version I needed. It no longer lets me run normal minecraft, any of the modded launchers, and I can't even re-download java at all. It gives me the error "Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit." I went into the program files and deleted everything I could find that was java but I'm still getting the same error, any help?

leave 32 bit installed, also install 64 bit for the launcher. that should work. also get the right installers, both of them it appears.

use the uninstall tool here first to remove all other versions.
