"can't install to disk, turn on disk controller in BIOS" error

trying to install Windows 7 on home made Desktop with a Windows7 CD

did partdisk, clean all, create partition, and dvd install gave the "can't install to disk, turn on disk controller in BIOS" error. there is no disk controller function in my BIOS.

I am currently using intel core i5 - 3570K and Mother board is Asrock Z77 Pro4 also I am using 8gb 1600mhz corsair ram and I just bought Segate 3TB (3000gb) HDD. And graphic card is Gtx 660Ti.



Please tell me what is wrong with my bios setting.....

It is probably the 2TB limit issue again.

"In windows 7, when you first partition the drive, it will ask if you want an MBR partition or a GPT partition. You need a GPT partition to access over 2.2TB. Windows 7 can't boot from a GPT partitioned disk unless it's the 64bit version of the OS and your motherboard is an UEFI motherboard. These aren't requirements for a storage drive, just a boot drive.
