Hi Guys,

I hope you can help me get the Windows up and running!

I got a new Asus TUF Gaming X570 WiFi Pro motherboard and a new 5800X CPU. However, I am using an old Samsung 960 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD which is PCIE 3.0 as a main drive (Not sure if this is what may be causing the issue).

BIOS was sucessfully updated to its latest version.

I installed Windows 10 from a USB flash drive (this version of Windows was from 2016, ver 1607). When the Windows booted, I tried installing drivers, however apart from the chipset all other drivers (downloaded from Asus) including network and wifi drivers could not be installed.

I downloaded a new Windows 10 from Microsoft (Create Windows 10 installation media - following step by step instructions) and tried reinstalling with no luck. I keep getting a blank, light blue screen when using UEFI PMAP which stuts down the PC after about 60 seconds. I also tried legacy MPAP and that was casuse a weird looking orange screen.

I played around in BIOS changing boot options but nothing seemed to work.

Solution
I have not seen that error before. I guess its a result of not having lan drivers yet. No way to connect to servers.

so that won't work...

i have seen that blue screen before, a previous fix was to use a slightly older installer but obviously 1607, before the motherboard existed, is too far.

you could try making another installer and see if it was the problem.

so is 1607 still installed?

why not update that install instead of clean install?

if win 10 1607 still works, go into file explorer
put USB with new ISO in and navigate to it in explorer
run setup
it will offer to update current install.
follow wizard and see if you can get further then

Yes, still installed.

I tried running setup from the USB but it said it failed to validate my Windows key.

Am I doing it right?

I forgot to mention that on the USB flash drive that won't boot I formated it to NTFS.

I will download it on a different USB flash drive in a FAT32 format this time.

What do you sugges I shuld do in case this does not work? I'm already thinking of taking my system to a locak PC store.
