I have a brand new x370 build and have updated the BIOS. I tried to install Windows 10 from the DVD drive. It does not recognize my western digital 500 GB M.2. So, I can't install Windows.

Any way around this?

Compatibility Support Mode - set to [DISABLED]

Secure Boot

1- The M.2 drive has to be the only drive installed.

2 - Go into the BIOS, under the boot tab there is an option for CSM, make sure it is disabled.

3 - Click on secure boot option below and make sure it is set to other OS, not Windows UEFI.

4 - Click on key management and clear secure boot keys.

5 - Insert a USB memory stick with a UEFI bootable iso of Windows 10 on it, USB3 is quicker but USB2 works also. A Windows DVD won’t work unless you’ve created your own UEFI Bootable DVD.

6 - Press F10 to save, exit and reboot.

7 - Windows 10 will now start installing to your NVME drive as it has its own NVME driver built in.

Yes this helped a ton. I had an issue with the retail microsoft usb not installing after 2 hours i compared the usb to the creator one I made on my other sytem it was missing a file a brand new retail win 10 usb. Thats a pisser

I think I fount it! I found it!
So basically when you add an SSD, your HDD already has a Boot Manager (which tells the bios "booott oonnn meee"). In the windows install, when you select "New" for the unallocated space on the SSD, it will NOT create the Boot Manager Partition - cause for the system you already have one and the ssd is an extension of space - and will leave you unable to boot from it.

Calvin7 said it right, remove the hdd from your system or format it along with the ssd.
I hope this helps
