Hi,
For some reason, i cant log in to linkedin any more.
It says it needs to check my identity.
So it sends me a QR Code...and tells me to use it...so i copy it on my laptop, then go to a free QR reader site and upload the QR code...then i put the resultant web address into my browser...and this then just takes me back to the same QR code. Round in a circle!
There is nowhere to send an email to for linkedin.
Also, it talks about sending government-issued ID but to where do i send it?, there is no upload link and no email address.

Do you know how i can get back into linkedin?

Thanks, but i cant take any of those steps as i simply cannot log in to linkedin any more.
There appears to be no way of contacting linkedin, because i cant log in to my linkedin account.

I am just wondering if someone has been making a "bot" log in to my linkedin account hundreds of times a day and linkedin have blamed me for that.

I recently accidentally deleted my old linkedin account when i tried to cancel my linkedin premium subscription.
So then i made a new linkedin account, because my old one had obviously been completely deleted. (by me)...but its my new linkedin account that i had access to for a few days, but now i have no access to it.

When i try to log in it tells me it wants to verify my ID and presents a QR code to me and tells me to scan it...but scanning it does nothing. (i dont have a smartphone so i just copy it with my laptop screenshot and then upload it to a QR reader site)

Thanks , i have double checked the URL and its deffo linkedin.
Its not possible to contact linkedin if you cant log in to linkedin.

I just put £10 on my PAYG on my smartphone and tried to scan the QR code that linkedin give me on my laptop screen...but my smartphone, a samsung SM-J330FN, (7 years old) doesnt have the ability to do QR codes.

Interesting...

It simply does not make sense to me that LinkedIn, as popular as it is, has no means to help customers recover their accounts.

I, full disclosure, do not have a LinkedIn account.

However, I went to the the LinkedIn login screen, did not enter an email address, and pretended that I forgot my password.

https://www.linkedin.com/

https://www.linkedin.com/login

Received this response:

"We’ll send a verification code to this email or phone number if it matches an existing LinkedIn account."

Going even further with it all...

Nothing about a QR code, or needing money etc..)

I did note some mention that LinkedIn is aware of imposter websites etc. offering support and help. And using that as a basis for not accepting emails or telephone calls.

Reference:

https://www.linkedin.com/help/linke... representatives by submitting a support case.

My thought is that your system/browser is being steered to a fake site.

Check the hosts file on your system. Could be that your correct URL is being redirected to an imposter website.

Otherwise run AV & Malware scans on your system.

Objective simply being to discover what else may be happening or not happening....

Something is amiss.

Thanks but i cant get on linkedin at all, and have checked the web address.

I suspect its to do with the fact that recently i accidentally deleted my linkedin account when i tried to cancel my linkedin premium subscription.
So then i made a new linkedin account, because my old one had obviously been completely deleted. (by me)...but its my new linkedin account that i had access to for a few days, but now i have no access to it.

I suspect that by doing this i have inadvertently triggered something in the Linkedin application software.

You must contact LinkedIn.

Per the provided links (Post #6) you should be readily able to do so.

Very doubtful that LinkedIn would: 1) deliberately cause problems for customers who unsubscribe, and/or 2) leave punative "triggers" in the application software. Accidently or otherwise.

The may be some bug or corruption in the application causing issues - a reinstall would likely resolve such issues.

Otherwise, the issues at hand can only be resolved via LinkedIn.
