Question Can't open Outlook 2010 after adding new outlook.com account

I created a new outlook.com email and wanted to add it to a Outlook 2010 client on Win10. However, after adding the email account in Outlook 2010 I can't open Outlook again. I am getting an error stating that the exchange server administrator prevented to use my version.
I can't remove the outlook.com account anymore as I can't open Outlook anymore.

Is this expected? And how can I remove the outlook.com account so I can open the Outlook client again?

Dead simple. Outlook 2010 is long obsolete and cannot be used with Outlook.com.

To remove the account from Outlook simply open the Control Panel, run "Mail (Microsoft Outlook)" then "Email Accounts..." and remove the desired account.

Ok. I will try to upgrade to Office 2021.
