Hello everyone. Recently I tried to update my Intel HD Graphics 4000 drivers a version released early this year on Intel's website.

I downloaded the .exe file and the installation program runs fine but eventually gets to the point when a message saying that one or more driver couldn't be installed appears.

I decided to uninstall the original drivers, and then installing them again but I get the same result.

(Spanish Windows 7, sorry)

I tried the 'have disk' installation method, but haven't had luck, the installation takes forever only to notify me that it couldn't install anything...

Any suggestions?

Hey Jes, I was actually having the same problem until just a few minutes ago. I restarted my computer in safe mode and tried the install procedure through device manager's "update driver" option for my device then manually selected my driver i wanted and it installed perfectly. I don't understand why it wouldn't install the driver normally, Im just happy it worked for me. Staring at that driver screen just to have it tell me that my install failed for the last 4 hours was really frustrating.

Since this way worked for me, you may even want to try running your installer from safe mode.

Hope this helps. 😉
Hi. Yes, I already uninstalled the old version. I'm currently without drivers. Tried to re install the old version drivers but haven't had any luck. Will try Driver Sweeper, though.

EDIT

I'm using Driver Sweeper, but it lists 3 Intel chipset drivers, but I'm not sure if these are the integrated graphics drivers, it's not specified.

jess if your using a gpu now the onboard video will be turned off unless you turn it on in the bios called muilt monitor support. make sure you have the newest intel chipset drivers installed and check that you downloaded the right video driver for your cpu. post up your cpu info.
