I am selling my PC and recently wiped the hard drive with DBAN, everything worked fine and now I am needing the reinstall Windows. I have the installation disc although my computer is not detecting the boot device. I have been into the BIOS and made sure the disc drive is the first option but still doesn't work, any solutions?

I used the drive just yesterday to wipe the hard drive so I couldn't imagine it being that and the disk has only ever been used once, no scratches or anything on it so I don't see it being that either

don't know what to tell you bro. if you have valid install media, a working drive and a working destination drive it should work. since the bios detects all your drives the only option left is something isn't working RIGHT, in which case that leaves the dvd drive itself or the dvd.

just to confirm, your problem is you can't even get it to load into the windows installer right? Not that you're in the installer and can't find the destination hard drive

cause if you're in the windows installer and can't find a drive to install windows on, you'll need to load the ACHI/RAID drivers for your motherboard and windows version (windows 7x64 or x86), there should be an option in the installer to load drivers. you'll need to unpack them on a thumb drive and install them in order for the windows installer to find the hard drive to install windows on.

I just tried putting another disk in the drive, the one I used for DBAN and it loaded up fine, which would indicate the drive is all good so I guess there is something wrong with the Windows installation disk?

CPU - Intel Pentium G2120

Motherboard - Asus P8B75-M
PSU - Corsair CX600
RAM - Kingston 4G
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1TB

I think I tried doing the legacy boot but that didn't change anything
