can't run OS after CHKDSK. please help :(

so today i turn on my rig and then suddenly disk check appear and there's look like an update says "Replacing invalid security id with default security id" same case like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOW_bQftwnc

it runs for about 45 mins then my pc auto restart and then it can't enter windows loading screen. i've turn it on and off many times and still nothing change. windows repair startup is also can't fix it.

so what should i do? there's a lot of important data in my hdd and i'm not thinking of formatting it. but if formatting is the only way than i'll do it.

about 1 and a half year. it's a WD barracuda 500gb.

It's either a WD *color* or a Seagate Barracuda 😛. If it's a Seagate, many people have had one die on them, i don't like them. But you could try to restore it using Hiren's boot CD, it has a couple of disk restoring tools on it.

oops sorry wrong type, i mean WD 500AAKS without any color.
you said recover so i must format the hdd?
