hi all , i wanted to oc my ram but when i tried any XMP profile , the clock speed wont change on the bios , it stays at 1600 , i have a 3570s processor i was thinking that maybe thats the issue but im not sure , my mobo says that it supports oc ram till 2133 and my ram supports 2400 but it wont change on the bios it will stay 1600 , i updated the bios to the latest

If you bought both RAM stick separately then it might now work even if is the model of RAM as my case. I have bought used corsair vengeance RAM but can't enable XMP due to one is XMP v1.2 while another one XMP v1.3

ill play with the settings i also have a gskill memory f3-2400c10d-gtx i tested with that one also and xmp is still not working. any suggestions what tolook for when oc the memory , in the freq settings the max is 1600 , there is a number that i can change but the max number i can put takes the memory to 1600 XD is set to 16.

Oop. forgot you got a "B" motherboard, there is no manual OC. you are stuck at 1600

i thought it was something like that, that i did not remember ,, still it bugs me why is not accepting XMP profiles . profile one and 2 are not changing the memory speeds. guess ill just change mobos XD , i got this pc together from stuff that i had stored . i have a z77 mobo but is ATX and i only have a micro atx case XD , and i dont feel like spending money on it but i guess ill have , the bump in performance is worthy , thanks for the help anyways :) .
