Can't stop checking CPU temperatures

Hi guys, this isn't really a problem with my PC, but more of a psychological problem. 6 months ago I upgraded my, case, PSU and CPU cooler. My CPU temperatures dropped with around 20 Celcius. But because of that I keep checking my temperatures over and over again, like once every minute. I cannot stop, what can I do to just stop checking my fucking temperatures? My temperatures are really good 25 Celcius idle, 45 Celcius while gaming and 50 in Prime95.
I know this is really the wrong place to ask, but most people here are really nice and smart. This has seriously ruined PC gaming for me. Thanks and please take me seriously

Lol that would be nice, but I had countless problems with my PC, and I'm not even sure if I have solved all of them, all I want is to relax with my PC and not be... Like this. Sigh

Try the overlay, as suggested.

I don't know if this is OCD or that you are just worrying too much about your temps. If they are only hitting 50C in Prime, then they are perfectly fine.

What CPU do you have and what cooler?

I am seriously starting to think that I have an OCD, but I am also worrying too much, like I am afraid of updating my GPU drivers because I'm worried that it will raise my temperatures. I wasn't always like this though, before I upgraded my PC I wasn't like this, but I've had so many problems on my PC, but I always solved every problem on my computer and on my friends's computer. I used to love computers, I solved all of the computer problems for almost everybody in my class, build all of my friend's computers for them. But I'm not even sure I want to continue, even though my future for IT is so bright, my hobby has turned into an unhealthy obsession, even though how happy my friends's are when I build their computers for them. By the way my cooler is an Antec H20 920 and my CPU is an i7 4770K with a CM Storm Trooper case and an AX 860

There isn't much we can do. All we can do is tell you that your temps are perfectly fine. Try an overlay, or even buy a second monitor and put some temp monitoring programs on it if you have to.

Installing new drivers or software shouldn't affect your temps in any way. Plus, modern processors have safety features built-in to prevent damage. If the temperature was to ever get too high, it would throttle or shut itself down to prevent damage, but you are a long way off from those temps. 50C for a 4770K is actually very good, so you don't need to worry about temps.

If you can't stop checking temps, and it is really starting to affect your daily life, you need to seek some help. It's not healthy nor necessary to obsess over and check temps that much.

Hi guys today played a bit on my PC, and things went a lot better, I didn't check my CPU temperatures as much, and when idle I only checked them once! Things are going up for me😀 Maybe some day I will play like I did before. Thanks for all of you guy's help, hope you got a good laugh out of me.

I also have an obsession to do that, except with usage of CPU per core, GPU usage, voltages, temps of both of those, usage of hard drive, etc. I solved it by getting another monitor and using rainmeter, MSI afterburner, and HWmonitor to track all the stuff I want on another screen while doing what I need to on my main screen.

Glad to see I'm not the only one obsessing over these things. But overlays kinda made it worse for me actually 😛, but now I am actually feeling a lot better about these thing, and I don't want to spend anything, just to see my temps which I already know what is. I am just paranoid that's all, but I'm on my way to to not stop all of this and just game!
