Can't take my old WIFI card out

Ive tried unscrewing it, but it just won't come out. I'm getting a new USB WIFI adapter/antenna but apparently I need to take out my WIFI card and THEN unistall it's driver. Couldn't I JUST uninstall the driver? Do I really need to take out this card? If I do, how do I take it out?

Go to device manager find your wifi adapter and tell it to remove the device.
No need to remove drivers.

To remove the card, unscrew the hold down screw completely so you can lift up the end a bit and pull the card out of the socket.
