Can't Tell if Coil Whine is coming from the GPU or PSU

I completed my new build 2 weeks ago and I have an EVGA G2 850W PSU that was pulled out of my 3 year-old build and put it in this one. I played Warframe and disabled V-sync and the coil whine started. Of course I can enable it again and it'll stop, but I really don't want to do that for many reasons. Listening in closer doesn't help much, but it made me think that it could be the PSU rather than my 1080ti.

The PSU didn't make noise in the old build, but that build never made up to 300+fps uncapped. I have no other way of confirming it and need some ways on determining it so I can get a replacement. Graphics card is Asus ROG Strix 1080ti OC.

To better tell which component the sound might be coming from, you could try holding something like a paper towel tube over your ear, and with the case open, move it near each component.

You could also try using a utility to limit your frame rate without v-sync. Or try forcing Supersampling / Dynamic Super Resolution for the game to reduce the frame rate while improving visuals a bit, and see if that helps at all. Just don't keep it enabled globally if you don't want a hit to performance in more demanding games.
