Hi all,
Today I tried going into my computer and it wouldn't let me type my pin to log into windows. I tested the keyboard on a laptop and it works fine.
After a few restarts the computer begins to beep 5 times and display nothing.
I took out one ram out of the 3 installed and then it started without the beeping. It even went to the login screen before refusing to let me type anything again. Also I noticed since I took out that presumably bad ram stick the bootup screen has strange dots and dashes going through the display. That only occures during bootup though.
My system spec's are:
Lenovo IdeaCentre K330 Desktop(ideacentre)
(upgraded video card and power supply.)
Machine Type Model 77274GU
Microsoft Windows 10, 64-bit
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM 12 GB (3 STICKS) Samsung 4GB 2RX8 PC3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Power supply: Corsair RM650i
I could never figure out what motherboard I have. It has 4 slots for RAM though. The Lenovo website has my computer registered and says this:
Display Name:MOTHERBOARD
Udi:Lenovo-To-be-filled-by-O-E-M-
Motherboard Usb Host Controller Count:2
Motherboard Pci Device Count:12
Motherboard Rtc Present:
Thanks
