Question Can't update BIOS ASRock AB350 PRO 4 ?

So I have never updated the bios so it has the really old version it shipped with. The problem is there is no option to do it in my bios. Under tools it just shows driver update, and that doesn't work anyway, so I went and got 3.4 and 5.2 from the website(with the manual on my lap so it is the right bios for the right board). I put it on a fat32 formated usb drive and booted into the bios, but there is no UEFI update utility in my tools tab. I have reset the bios to the default but don't know what else to try. The option I saw them click in the youtube guide just isn't there in mine. Very strange.

I think that is all the information. Can anyone help?

Short and sweet: The UEFI update utility is missing from my BIOS tool tab.

Missing instant flash feature in tools which is included in later bios updates. Need to update bios from Windows. Not sure which version includes instant flash, my guess is from 2.60 or 3.00.

Do read bios update instructions in yellow from website. Asrock like to do the updating incrementally, only god knows why.

I will, I have discovered that the changing rom to win to download the bios image with the installer doesn't work but I will sit down with this soon when I have time. At least now I know what is likely wrong which is great.

Renaming bios files is to do with updating bios without a installed or supported processor. Ie Msi has flashback and Gigabyte Qflash plus. Asrock's instant flash works similarly and renaming file to win but your bios doesn't support that yet.
