Hey, I Just re-formatted a laptop of mine, It's fairly old TBH, and i'm having alot of trouble trying to update the graphics.

It's a Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7332
Running with AMD Processor
Properties:
Windows 7 Ultimate
AMD A6-3400M APU with Radeon(Tm)HD Graphics 1.40Ghz
Installed Ram: 4.00 GB(3.48gb usable)
64 Bit OS.

I'd also like to note that it had a 6520g,(HD Graphics) i believe

Before I re-formatted, It had a 5.6 rating because it had the drivers installed.
I tried going to the Manufacturer's site to get the drivers again, also downloaded and tried AMD Catalyst to help, but for some reason I cannot get them updated.
In my display adapter settings, it's stuck on "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.

Used to be able to play games on the laptop but now when I try to play the same games, it tells me that I need a higher video card, which means It's not updated. My WEI stays at 1.0 (Graphics)

Read some forums andthey told me that certain .ini files help. But for the life of me, I cannot find them.

I have downloaded graphics drivers on my desktop before, I'm just confused at how this could be so frustrating.

Your help would be GREATLY appreciated.

went into safe mode and used the driver sweeper program to remove the drivers, then it restarted back into normal mode and my PC automatically reinstalled "Standard VGA Graphics" ;/ im desperate :)

It could be that Windows is automatically downloading and installing drivers for you. You can try to disconnect from internet, run the drivesweeper routine, install drivers from amd, then Connect back to the net.
