Can't update drivers

Just got a new SSD and I put a clean copy of the latest Windows 10 64 bit build and wiped my HDD. The problem is I cant install any new Nvidia drivers. I can only install 368.81 which is about 6 months outdated. Whenever I try and install any newer ones it says it worked but when I go into device manager windows says there is a problem and had to disable the driver. Whenever I try to install through Geforce Experience it seems like it worked again but the moment its done rather than saying its installed the driver can just be reinstalled, as if geforce just did nothing. Any help would be appreciated

Problems can occur with Nvidia driver updates if you don't completely remove all references to existing driver first.

Use DDU to completely remove driver:

Then try installing latest driver again.

Already tried that and it didn't do anything sadly

Nvm after days of looking for a solution the issue has magically vanished and I'm now on the latest driver
