Hello guys, i have this really annoying problem with windows 10.
I finally decided to upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 (not a fresh install). I finally installed everything but when it started and the (welcome to windows 10) screen appears both my mouse and keyboard stops working which means that i can't progress from that screen. I tried switching USB ports, checking the BIOS to see that USB was enabled, tried disabling usb 3.0 but still no positive result. Anyone else that've had this problem and can help me out?
I'll be happy to provide more info if needed!

No you do a clean install of 10. Get the ISO with the mediacreation tool.

Or use the Win10 DVD if you've got it. Boot from it delete partitions / recreate some if you want some

Then install Win10.

You dont have to install Windows 7 first. Once Win10 is installed go online it'll activate it

Then update it

The problem with that is that i need a product key, the way i'm doing it now is completely free (and legal) and uses the windows 7 key. Is there a way around that?

Windows 7 if you updated/upgraded to 10 carries the key to Windows 10.

So once you install 10 (you can do a clean install of it)

After you reinstall it, and get online it'll activate

You can use the mediacreation tool to get Win10 then either burn it (it's an ISO), or use something like rufus to put it on a flash drive

Then boot from it. Delete all partitions in Win10 setup screen. And recreate them if you want to

But if you do a clean install copy what you want first. ie: docs, pics.

It wont be there later. But you'll have to reinstall programs you installed

And at least Win10 supports USB 3 natively when you install it. Windows 7 doesnt. You have to do some workarounds to install it. If you use a USB 3 port

So what i have to do is upgrade to windows 10 first (Mouse and keyboard doesn't work after that) then reinstall windows 10 by booting with a USB with windows 10 on it. Then delete the partitions, and windows 10 will work fine after that without the need of another key?
