Question Can't wake computer up

I just did a new install of windows 10 and the only way I can get the computer to wake up is to kill the power at the power supply. I first went into the bios and reset them and that did nothing . I went into device manager and checked that the keyboard and mouse were checked to wake the computer which they were. I then checked the USB root hubs and unchecked Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power. I did notice in USB Root Hub Allow this device to wake computer is not highlited and I cannot check this box.

Here's my system
i3 550
Gigabyte H55m-S2v
8 gig ram 2133
Nvidea 740 gpu

Any help would be appreciated

How did you do the new Windows 10 install? What procedure did you use?

I downloaded Windows 10 installation media to a flash drive and booted /installed off the flash drive. I reformatted the hard drive prior to installing win 10
