Can't write value to key but I have all permissions

I don't know if this is the right place to put this thread, hopefully it is

So, I'm trying to install a driver and in the middle of the process a pop up pops saying:
'can't write value to key SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/Currentversion/Run
verify that you have suficient acess to that key'
I already went there and set Full control on my permissions so I have sufficient access to that key but the pop up still shows up.

Because of that I can't install my graphic drivers and I can't play any games
Can anyone help?

That key controls applications that are run when a user logs in. This is just a guess, but it is possible that you have an anti-virus/anti-spyware/anti-autorun application that prevents processes from writing to that key. (Many virus/malware apps use the run keys to make sure they are always running).

Again, it is just a guess, but if you have anything like that, I'd suggest disabling it.

Thanks, that is very likely since I have AVG, malwarebytes, iSafe and RegCurePro installed on my computer.

I'm going to turn them off, try again and I'll update you

I tried turning everything off, AVG, malwarebytes, RegCurePro, iSafe, even Windows Firewall, Windows Defender and User Account Controll.
Still doesn't work

Any sugestions?

Yes I am but I don't know where to create, what key and what value so...

The culprit is iSafe. I also was having trouble writing to the key; I discovered this as I was attempting to update Adobe/Java or even update my Antivirus; it would not write to the registry, specifically the same folder you were having problems with. Stopping the process did not yield results, however uninstalling iSafe granted me access and was able to update my drivers and write to the key.

While iSafe has good intentions, I didn't look for an alternate root such as its settings; found iSafe wasn't a necessity with a more than capable antivirus software. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I unninstalled it and Searchprotect and I could update my drivers
