[SOLVED] capped 60fps in fullscreen

I have a laptop and a connected monitor if i play games on laptop in fullscreen fps gets to 120+but if i play fullscreen on my monitor it gets capped in 60fps for all the games i tried system restore and i turned of nvidia v sync nothing work

is the monitor higher than 60hz...?
if not then it doesn't really matter, it just lets the gpu take it easy so let it be
if it is higher than 60hz, there might be power management settings in windows you can change.
