Hi Everybody,

I'd like to get a dash camera.

From what I've researched, there is a pretty wide range of prices starting from about $ 30 to $ 300.
What are the differences between cameras one one end of the range and the other?

More insights I got are (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong):

A Camera that relies on a capacitor is better than one with a battery (in terms of sun resistance).

The resolution does not necessarily indicate the quality of video - I saw on one of the videos in YouTube a 1440P camera getting better image of license plates and overall surroundings than a 1920p.

The POLARIZED feature contributes to the quality of video and distinction of details.

So, to sum things up, I would like to get your help with:

1. Finding a practical camera, that’s good enough to even pickup license plates, and in the price range of 50-70$ (+ other features that you might find useful from own experience).

2. Understating what do the 300$ cameras have that the 30$ ones don’t

Thank you!

I bought a backview system, the picture quality is good, but it only has a rear camere. I want a front camera now. So I want to buy a new system with one frount camera and one rear camera, and my wife will use my old one.
