I'm building a gaming computer and am trying to learn about balancing Cas timings vs. frequency.
Maybe someone can help me decide between 2 different Corsair Vengeance memory offerings.
I will be overclocking each memory to their listed frequency.
8GB 2x4 of DDR3 2133 at 9-11-10-30

8GB 2x4 of DDR3 1600 at 7-8-8-24
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233254 .
My build is an i5 3570k lightly overclocked with a Coolermaster 212 EVO.
MSI Z77a GD65.
Evga Nvidia 580.
8GB dual channel ram.
PC Power and Cooling 750 watt PSU.
Antec 900 case.
If I were to run the 2133 at a slower MHz (1600), could/would I tighten up my timing or will it be better to run the higher frequency to overcome the slower Cas?
Thanks for your opinions....
Jay.
