Pwm with smart fan enabled to adjust curve.

Leave it on auto. The motherboard should be able to figure it out.

Otherwise if you want to set it manually to be certain:

• 4-pin fan = PWM
• 3-pin fan = Voltage

what is smart fan

Smart Fan is what Gigabyte call their BIOS functions for controlling the fans. It is mentioned under that name in your motherboard manual and on the product page for the motherboard.

choose pwm.It will help reduce the noise. but many gigabyte boards are faulty, if you choose voltage it will be pwm mode, and pwm will be voltage mode and will always spin at full speed
