I am planning a build and the case that I am going to use is the DIYPC N8. I was reading somewhere that the case fans that are preinstalled use molex connectors instead of 3 or 4 pin connectors. Is this true? If not, is there a way to connect them to the motherboard to be able to control them? Or am I forced to hook them up directly to the PSU.

The rear fan is powered by a molex connector and from that I'm lead to believe for a budget case 34USD+shipping charges you're also going to have the front fan come in with a molex connector too.

If that is the cost you've allocated to your build, what's stopping your from going with an N200 by Coolermaster? It's well designed for current gen and future tech while the two fans bundled are 3 pin connectors with an added 3 pin to molex adapter bundled while the N200 comes in at just shy of 50USD. If you'd like to connect the fans to the motherboard you'd need to extensively mod the fan and invest in supplies and possibly a couple of donor parts from older fans while also running a new wire to the motor which in essence is absurd to do for a novice. Long story short, get the N200 or pass on a budget for a different case suggestion or slap some aftermarket fans to take advantage of the motherboard's fan headers.

You might want to pass on your full system's specs(proposed build the chassis will be populated with).
