Case Fan sleep mode issue

I am having some issues with my case fans after the PC wakes up. The rear fan (connected CHA_Fan 4) spins up, but stops, LEDs stay on. The 3 other fans connected via hub on CHA_Fan 2 spin up, but slow down, LEDs dim.

I've attempted to put load to trigger fan spin, but nothing happens. If it's from a fresh boot, no issue. Fans speed up based on temperature.

Also re-installed Windows 10, just in case.

All fans are PWM and the BIOS is configured for each fan as PWM.

If I switch in the BIOS the fans to DC, there's no problem, it's just noisier.

Solution
That's weird .... when you try and run a DCV fan too slow in the past, it would sometimes not start up as the voltage required to keep it going was less than what was needed to start it. If ya set speed too low, it couldn't get going. Newer control schemes start the fan and then drop voltage to prevent this.

PWM fans OTOH always have 12 v so this is not an issue.

The only thing I can fathom that fits what you describe is a "feature". FanXpert has a feature whereby you can set the fans to turn off if the fan curve you have set up goes below a setpoint you pick. For example, I have mine set to turn off if the fan curve wants them to spin slower than 350 rpm.

Did you are the system builder set this up this way ? Is AI Suite...

Thanks, I had that installed before and removed it as I thought maybe it was causing the issue. I'll try it again though.

Thanks. I did have AI Suite 3 installed. I removed it thinking it caused the issue with the fan. After I removed it I did a clean-up to ensure the AsusFanControlService.exe and other Asus services were stopped and removed. Not the best uninstall.
Anyway, I'll try it out again. It's very strange.

I should also mention, that I reset all my CMOS to ensure that I hadn't accidentally changed a setting.

I'll give AI suites a try again and see how that goes.
