Question Case Fans Connected to 3 Pin Fan Connector Running at Constant Speed

Hello,

I hope you are doing well and having a good week and apologies in advance if this is the wrong section to be posting in.

My girlfriend recently upgraded most of her system, getting a new GPU, RAM, case and PSU. She purchased a CiT Terra in White (https://www.awd-it.co.uk/cit-terra-...-fans-included-tempered-glass-side-panel.html) which comes with several 3 pin case fans that are connected to a fan connector. Her motherboard is an ASUS H81M-P Plus. The trouble we are having is that all these fans appear to be running at a constant speed. I have connected the fan connector to the PSU and the RGB can be adjusted using the LED switch on the case but the speed appears to be stuck at constant. There is one black 3 pin female connector that is not connected to anything. We tried using a 3 pin to 4 pin adapter and connecting it to the fan control plug on the motherboard but it shows up as N/A in the bios (adapter in question) .

We have tried updating the BIOS and looking to find a way to control the fans via DC/Voltage as from what I gathered online this is how to control case fans that are not directly plugged into the motherboard. However, we cannot find a setting to change the fan control to DC/Voltage. When enabling the Fan Expert Profile there is no option to adjust this.

Apologies if I have missed anything simple. I am not the most experienced when it comes to building PCs!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have connected the fan connector to the PSU
What is this "fan connector"?
Motherboard ASUS H81M-P Plus has only single system fan header. How are you connecting 3 fans to it?
Did you mean "Fan HUB". Can you show a photo?

Well .. if you didn't connect fan cables to motherboard, then fans don't get regulated.

That is RGB/ARGB cable. Not relevant for fan speed regulation.

Motherboard can't regulate fans, that are not connected to it.
Not possible.

Where is other end of this cable plugged in?

And no, there are no instructions with the PC case at all. it’s sounding like the fan hub doesn’t allow for regulation of fan speed and the solution is to purchase one that does?

Yes obviously.
If your fan hub can't regulate fan speed and you want them to get regulated,
then you need a fan hub, that can do that. 😊

BTW - where do those black cables from fan hub go (bottom cables) ?
