I have a case with 4 pre-installed fans but they do not spin. The RGB lightning works though.

I connected the one sata cable that was attached to the fans, do I miss something?

Specs:
Case: DeepCool MATREXX 50 ADD-RGB 4F
Mb: Asus ROG b450-f
Cpu: Ryzen 5 5600x
Gpu: rtx 3090
Psu: cooler master 850w gold v2

The pre installed fans work with a 3 pin argb header
the fans may have a 3pin aRGB cable but they will also have a separate cable for motor control.
this will either be a 3pin DC, 4pin PWM, or possibly a molex connector for older\cheaper fans.

the SATA connection should only be for powering a hub that they may connect to.

if the fans are connected to a case hub
the hub may have a 4pin PWM cable that leads out that needs to be connected to a motherboard fan header.
Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Try installing other known working SATA cables.

How are the fans arranged and connected?

Individually test each fan.

Double check your installation - refer to the applicable motherboard, PSU, case, and fan User Guides/Manuals to ensure that everything is correctly connected.

Pay attention to all warnings and fine print.

They have a fan controller built in. I am not sure what to connect where. The manual of the case doesn't explain how to install them.

I feel like I'm missing something.

[Verify that I found the correct User Manual.]

See Page 1-2, Bullet 3 showing fan and pump connectors as listed on Page 1-3.

Then go to Page 1-18 for detail information.

Be sure to review the entire manual before making any changes or otherwise plugging things in.

Pay close attention to warnings (i.e., "DO NOT") and fine print. When advised to go to a website for more up-to-date information - do so.

Also review the applicable installation instructions for all other components to ensure that all (installation and configuration) is correct.

Yes that motherboard.

After doing some research, from what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong:

My motherboard has a 4pin rgb header. The pre installed fans work with a 3 pin argb header. I can't connect that to my motherboard because bad things will happen. It also comes with a sata cable, but shouldn't that be enough to make the fans spin? RGB works fine if connected through sata, it's just that they don't spin.

If that's not how it works, I'd just buy a new case with compatible fans.

Thank you so much mate! Got it work. There's was indeed a 4pin cable. Connected it to a CHA_FAN header and now they work.
