Good day everyone!

whenever I turn on or off my computer, all of the case fans flicker for a second and work normal

I have noticed this flickering recently and haven't had any issues with functioning of the computer do not know exactly when this flicker stared to occur

No random crashes or reboots observed, been gaming for long sessions and cpu run stable throughout the day.

Trying to know the cause of this flicker (hope it doesn't affect the life of the case fans) and affect other components in long run ?

My CPU specs and case fans setup

AMD Ryzen 7 3700x not OC
ASUS Tuf x570 plus mobo
Corsair Vengeance 8x2 DDR4 ram
Zotac GTX 1060 6gb
Corsair vs650w
Seagate Barracuda 2x2TB (Games and other stuff)
WD Green 240gb for (Windows drive)

Cooler Master mb 511 cabinet

3 x 120mm CM rgb fans (front intake)
2 x 140mm CM rgb fans (top exhaust)
1 x 120mm CM non-rgb blue led fan (rear exhaust)
cooler master hyper 212 with a stock 120mm red led fan

Things I checked so far,

Performed a clean installation of Asus armory crate software, color profile switches as expected on all different modes available in game

If I turn on the rgb using armory crate , rgb lights work normal for longer duration without issues.

After the initial flicker during the power on, all the case fans run normal and do not turn off or flicker randomly while working on the computer

CPU is plugged into my APC RS 1100 UPS

I will capture a video on how flicker looks like and post it here shortly

Please share your thoughts and let me know if is there any way to stop the micro flickers (they literally last for a micro second)

It just appear strange and scary for all the fans to flicker during power up and off the computer

Flicker, lights or fans ?

I'm sorry, it's rgb lights on case fan that flicker

here is a video of pc turning up, as soon as the power button is pressed, @ 0:30 the lights on the front intake fan flicker for a second. this happens every time during boot up and shut down

PC booting up

I set breathing blue light effect in armory crate, rgb is on and fans run normal, here is a video of fans with rgb effect.

rgb lights on

I use Corsair and experience somewhat of the same thing. The RGB lights have hardware and software control. If The Corsair Icue doesn't start or I close the program, leds will switch from software control to hardware control. This happens at startup as well in Bios hardware control, when windows starts it will go to software control. Same with the Cpu cooler( nice to know its working without software)

I haven't noticed issues with armoury crate software, light profiles switch normal

Once rgb lights are on from armoury crate, they work flawless, except for that tiny rgb light flicker at PC startup

@Mtop As you mentioned, does the led flicker happen due to switch between hardware to software control

If so, I will be happy to disable the hardware control feature in BIOS (any specific settings I should look for?)

In last 6 months of this new build never had rgb issues with armoury crate software. which make me think software control is better

Concerned if sudden led flicker in case fans will cause any issues.
