Case Fans Have Gone Noisy

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to PC building so I am not exactly the best at trouble shooting hardware and component problems,
I built my first rig in July and upgraded in October and everything was okay and I had a quiet PC until about a week ago when all of a sudden most of my fans became noisy.

I have 8 fans running in my case and I have cleaned all the fans and the case, I have also added PWM fan adapters to some of the fans
(i have had to use 3 PWM adapters on one of the fans as it was that loud)
but for some reason most of my fans are still loud despite me turning 2 off that where making weird noises that where at the top of the case
(at first I thought it was down to the air holes on the case)
but I moved them else where in the case but the problem persisted.

Any help would greatly be appreciated, thank you

The Fans im using are:

3x 120mm corsair AF (i have noticed one of them is making a weird noise)
2x 120mm corsair SP (i have noticed one of them is making a weird noise)
2x 120mm NZXT (they came with the source 530 case)
1x 120mm (uknown) but it came with the corsair H55 (used 3 PWM adapters on this one)

The culprit is staring you right in the face(pun intended). The corsair fans have been known for quite some time to be those that go out with incredible fashion. The fans begin rattling and then the fan blades themselves sometimes come away and their blades start brushing up against the housing before cracking or breaking under stress. The FN series of fans that came shipped with the NZXT case are alright though they are prone to dust and (possibly hair follicle build up over time) can begin rattling most people haven't had much to say about them as has been said about the Corsair AF+SP fans.

Why are you using three PWM adapters for one fan? Is there a way you can illustrate it with a pic? It should be regulated by the CPU fan header...

I have replaced the corsair fans as it was them that where causing the noise and as for the PWMs i dont use them as i have a fan controller and for some reason the CPU header was not regulating the fan, thank you for the help and sorry for the late reply as i did read the response straight away and took action before replying. I can happily watch films and play games without noise now
