I'm about to build a custom rig using a red NZXT Phantom 530 case. It reminds me of an Audi R8 or a similar Audi concept car. It's absolutely gorgeous. When I press my power button, I want my computer to play an audio file so I can hear the sound of a super car turning on. How can this be done? Are there any easy kits out there? I need it to be an independent system so that it will play the moment I hit the power on button. I'm open to any ideas about this. I can think of a number of ways to make it work, but I don't have the expertise needed to tackle this one from scratch.

In a worse case scenario, I could hack a staples easy button and link the switch on the easy button to the power button. When I press the power button it would also press the easy button. You can find an easy button hack here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OEFxc3zTls.

I'd prefer to pull power from the mobo or psu, route it to some flash storage and a small speaker, then program it to sound off everytime the power is turned on. I don't know how to do that though... Buuut that's why I'm asking you guys.

Yeah, you're on your own here.
I don't think anyone has even made custom sounds straight from boot (not windows custom start up sound)
