Hi Everyone,

First of all thanks for helping me with this question, I have the Phanteks ECLIPSE P400 Case and till now I have been ok with the temps reaching 60c / 140f in the CPU when I play and the GPU reaching 75/85, but I have started to OC the system a bit to increase the fps in games and the temps are going high now when I play for more than 1-2 hours the GPU can reach 90c GPU and I'm a bit worry about the system, is a soft OC nothing crazy, but I would like to know if I can improve the airflow by adding an additional good FAN, here is my current setup:

current setup:
1x 120mm Rear
1x 140mm Top
2x 140mm front
CPU cooler: https://www.silentiumpc.com/en/product/fortis-3-he1425/

Do you think that adding an additional fan in the top 140mm will make any difference or I should stay with the positive air pressure (I believe that I have)?

BTW those are the fans that I'm using:

Thanks again!

The physics of air work as follow:
- The PC case can only exhaust as much air as there is inside the case (so air coming in).
- Air intake will cap out if not enough exhaust.

So yes, add a 140mm fan at the top.

I'd also look at replacing that CPU fan.

What are all the fans currently in your PC BTW?

I have this case and love how it looks but it's kinda not the best for high end stuff that puts out a lot of heat or Overclocking. I have a AIO water cooler 280mm in the front and 2 140mm up top along with a GTX 1080 and for newer games that push the card the system can get pretty hot after an hour and you hear the fans rev up pretty hard.
Short term solution: is to pull off the front panel that covers the front fans, the system gets significantly more air and everything works incredibly well but this is annoying as hell and will wear out different parts of your panel not to mention bring additional dust into your fans/system.

I suggest experimenting with an intake fan in both the front and back of the case along with two exhaust fans up top. There's no dust filter at the back but your airflow would improve significantly.
