The removable panel on my case vibrates very loudly, if I put a tiny amount of pressure on it with my finger the sounds stops completely. That's how I know it's the case, not the inner components. Also, if I slightly loosen the bottom screw on the side panel, the vibration stops. Phanteks Enthoo Pro (my case) has a window and I believe that's the source of the vibration/noise because specifically when I touch the window, the sound goes away.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is it at all normal, and is there a fix other than loosening the screw as I mentioned above?

Solution
It is one or more of the components that causes the case to vibrate. The case can not vibrate on it's own (proof is that it makes no noise when the system is shut off). So you have a choice, figure out what is causing the case to vibrate or loosen the screw and ignore the fact that some component is vibrating. I would bet that if you go through the system and tighten slightly the mounting screws for each item you may eliminate the source.

Dogsnake, I didn't mean that the case itself was creating the noise, but rather, that when the panel is not making noise, the system is completely quiet. I would assume that some level of vibration from the fans is normal and unavoidable and was wondering if anyone had experienced "side panel vibration noise" and if it's normal or not. I will try tightening components. Do you think this noise is cause for alarm?

No alarm. However it is worth the time to figure out the source of the vibration. Most built systems do not generate vibration large enough to cause the case to make noise. It could be a loose side panel rivet or screw holding the window. I have had cases where things just needed tweaking to be silent.

I'll have a look at the side panel and see if anything can be tightened. Thanks for the info!

Yes and no. It actually only vibrates once in a while now and when it does, I do one of two things or both to make it stop. First, I adjust the screws that secure the side panel, tighten them down all the way and then slightly loosen them until the vibration stops. There's no good reason why this works for me but it does. I've also found that if I just move my case a little bit on the table it will stop vibrating. Again, makes little sense since the table that my case is on is pretty smooth, but I guess there's tiny variations and somehow it "sits" better in one place than another.

I didn't end up tightening all the components in my computer as suggested above because when the side panel is off there is no vibration noise. I did tighten the rivets on my side panel though. For me they are tightened by pushing down with your thumbs, no screw driver or any tool required. I've pretty much pinpointed the noise to the window on my panel.

So that's what worked for me.
